About Us

Ervin Glassworks is a family business established in 2020, owned and operated by father and son, Chris and Danny Ervin. Their home base is a private studio in Almont, MI. Chris began blowing glass at the College for Creative Studies in 2005 and has worked as an assistant to various glass artists in Colorado and the Metro Detroit area. Several years into his career, Chris passed his love of glassmaking on to his father, Danny, who then took his first gather of glass and found every opportunity to work with it as often as possible. Both Chris and Danny travel throughout Michigan, doing public demonstrations, selling their wares, and sharing their passion for the medium. They are always eager to share their interest in and love for making objects from molten sand.
